Melanie Dubin![]() Melanie Dubin is a sustainability professional with over ten years of experience in the fields of green building and investment management. She has dedicated her career to facilitating meaningful change and robust sustainability practices for public and private organizations. After completing a Masters degree in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability in Sweden, she worked with a construction management consulting firm, Davis Langdon, where she spent four years as a sustainability and green building consultant. Melanie established the firm’s corporate sustainability program across 8 offices worldwide. Later she joined the United States Green Building Council, a DC-based non-profit, where she certified hundreds of buildings in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program, and helped the state of Ohio build and maintain its green school program. After receiving her MBA in Finance, Melanie worked for New Mexico’s endowed state Permanent Fund, where she was responsible for managing private equity investments in real estate and real assets, an allocation of $4.5 billion. She joined Avalon in October 2017 to deepen and broaden its sustainable investment process. Melanie earned a bachelor of science degree from Pennsylvania State University, an MS from Blekinge Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of New Mexico. |
