Ariel joined Avalon in mid-2014 after earning his MBA with a concentration in Finance at UNM’s Anderson School of Management. He conducts investment research, monitors existing holdings and provides valuable reports to the investment team. Ariel also serves as liaison between the investment and operations staff, helping to maintain the integrity of our management information systems. Prior to graduate school, Ariel performed financial analysis for Cottonwood Technology Fund, a venture capital firm, after a few years abroad, starting in Argentina where he attained fluency in Spanish, followed by two years in Germany as an English instructor to corporate executives. Ariel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature from the University of British Columbia. He is currently studying for the CFA program.
