Julia Peters, JD![]() As Senior Vice President and Principal, Julia is committed to resolving the broadest variety of issues facing Avalon's clients. She takes a proactive approach, offering our clients options that simplify, clarify and improve outcomes. Her ability to collaborate and her creative approach to projects is reflected in the variety of transactions that clients entrust her with: from the transfer of real estate, reviewing and mapping out estate plans, to negotiating the sale of fine art, to implementing complex philanthropic strategies. Before joining Avalon, Julia practiced estate planning and real estate law in Seattle and was a managing partner with the law firm Sutin, Thayer & Browne in Santa Fe. She serves on the board of the New Mexico Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, has been on the faculty of the National Business Institute and is a graduate of Leadership New Mexico. Julia earned her bachelor's and law degrees from Willamette University and is a member of the New Mexico and Washington State Bars. |
